"Excellent, then. At least somebody around here can still be a good girl," He replied, managing a little chuckle at her wink, smiling back at her. He tightened his grip around her waist a little, but kept his hands right where he had promised, not moving them up nor down any. "And again, we come back to my sisters, and their unsavory habits. Obviously, someone has it out for me, making me think of it way too much."
"You're welcome," he added, with a further smile.

"I could never be one of the bad girls," Meghan glanced around at some of the flailing drunk girls and laughed. "The smell of vomit isn't all that appealing, you know?"
She smiled a little more now as they continued to dance, glad to be in the arms of someone as nice as Rath and not some jerk who would be trying to feel her up.

"Come on, we could change," Rath teased, laughing a bit. "You could be a drunk girl, go around puking on everyone, smoking the wrong end of cigarettes. Me, I could start bathing in cologne, and slicking my hair back.. well, okay, my hair is slicked back now, but it's part of the costume. I mean on a day-to-day basis. Maybe I'll even buy some bling, and get an undeserved air of importance. Sound good?"

Meghan laughed loudly as she pictured them as the complete opposites of what they were. "No, no... I think I like us better as nerds. It suits us better, you know?"
She laughed a little more and moved just a bit closer to him. "Maybe next Hallowe'en we'll try the whole drunk girl/gangster guy thing, alright?"

"I thought we were going to go as Johnny and Judy next year? We could always do drunk and or gangster versions, we could carry my bass around with us, you could borrow my sister's guitar, we'll be super authentic," Rath suggested, laughing as well. He tensed a little when she moved closer, but kept smiling just the same. "I think Tatum might be staring at us again, I can feel eyes on the back of my head."

"Drunk Judy would be pretty awesome, if I've gotta be honest. And I have my own guitar so you won't have to borrow one." Meghan giggled a little more, moving even closer to Rath now so that their bodies were almost flush against each other. "She's probably just not used to seeing you with a girl, that's all."

"Oh, seriously? You play?" Rath replied, seeming quite pleased at the prospect. As she moved her body flush against his, he smiled down at her, leaning his face a bit closer, but still keeping some distance. "We'll have to jam sometime, totally. I don't know anyone who plays outside of the Random Comment crowd, and my sister. Who, yes, is quite unfamiliar with seeing me with a girl. Or another living person, really. They're always telling me that I'd much prefer a pixelated girl, to a real girl."

"I've been playing since I was twelve. I don't know exactly how good I am at it, but I do enjoy playing. And jamming together sounds like a great idea." Meghan smiled up at Rath now, leaning her face a little closer to his. "Well, seeing as I am dressed up as a pixelated girl and you're talking to me, I could see where they'd get the idea."

"What do they know anyway?" Rath replied, trying to keep himself from looking toward either of his sisters, or any of his friends, as he said that. He wasn't sure what had happened in the last hour or so, but it was definitely something unexpected. And it was giving him a strange sort of confidence, like he hadn't felt before. Confidence wasn't his forte. Smiling slowly, he leaned in and closed the rest of the distance between them, pressing his lips lightly up to Meghan's for a moment, before pulling back a bit.
If she freaked out, he could always blame the alcohol.

"Finest wine, foulest rotgut. To me it's all pretty much the same. Pardoning aforementioned cider thing," Leigh answered, with a grin. Seeing that, for at least the moment, Rath had stopped dancing with Meghan, she pulled Sera over, and dropped the brunette's head long enough to hug him excitedly.
"You danced willingly," she noted accusingly, and then offered her hand to Meghan. "You're Meghan, right? I think Sera mentioned you, but I'm not sure we've been formally introduced. I'm Leigh, she-who-forces-Rath-to-be-social-and-dance-sometimes. But you seem a lot better at it than I am."

"They should know a bit about you, they are your sis--" Meghan found herself cut off when Rath's lips descended upon hers. Well, that was definitely not what she was expecting to happen. She took in a deep breath before wrapping her arms a little tighter around his neck and kissing him back softly.

Rath broke off the kiss just as Leigh and Sera were joining them, knowing he was blushing incredibly, even as the blonde girl wrapped him into a hug. Really, his sister [and might-as-well-be-sisters] had the worst timing in the world. But maybe they hadn't actually seen the momentary kiss. "I-I'm dancing," he agreed, clearing his throat loudly when he realized his voice was cracking. "You guys aren't," he added, as he watched Leigh introducing herself to Meghan. He released her from his embrace, so she'd be able to properly shake hands, and rubbed at the back of his neck with his now free hands.
Not missing a moment of the kiss, Seraphim had officially choked on a drink of Shiraz when she had seen it happening. Although she wasn't sure Leigh had been at the right angle to notice, she certainly had been. And it was written all over her brother's face anyway. As her girlfriend introduced herself, the brunette shot Rath a look, something of a What-Are-You-Doing-Kissing-My-Friends look, that made him more or less shrivel under the intensity.
"She's certainly good at something," Sera pitched in finally, lifting her wine up, and taking another long drink. This night was already crazy.

Leigh, as a matter of fact, had missed the kiss entirely, and lifted an eyebrow in Sera's direction at her tone. "I think I missed something," she noted aloud. "But good on you, Meghan," she grinned. "Getting him to dance is hard sometimes. And good on you for blushing like a tomato," she offered to Rath. "If you're worried, you were dancing just fine?" she hazarded, unsure why he'd be blushing otherwise. It certainly didn't occur to her that he'd actually kissed a girl. This was not Bizarro land. Rath did not kiss virtual strangers at a party on Halloween.

"Y-yeah, I'm Meghan." Meghan nodded and shook Leigh's hand, trying to act very nonchalant and like she hadn't just been kissing a complete stranger. She shook her head a little to clear her thoughts and then plastered on a wide grin. "And actually, it was Rath who asked me to dance. I didn't even really do anything but agree to it."

Leigh gave Rath a speculative look. "Really?" She asked, impressed. "Well, then! Color me stunned! Besides Rath's mad dancing skills, how are you liking it? Sera's not a huge party-person, for sooth," she noted, and recaptured the brunette's hand. "Waiting for Random Comment to play again before I try to talk her into dancing with me, and now you stole my dancing partner!"
