Jude nodded. "Yeah, she is indeed. She's a nut, and I don't know if having her as a main character is a good move..."

"She's hilarious, and as Lucy already said, she's plenty eccentric enough to play the role of Maureen," Brody replied, nodding in agreement with herself. "You'll quite enjoy her, Harley, she's going to do a fantastic job of 'Over the Moon', she has just the attitude for the role. Although, I'm not sure how well her girlfriend is going to feel about her and some other little red head. Marianne Peters is pretty cute."

Harley grinned. "I can't wait to meet her. Or them. Or some variety of both."

Lucy had remained quiet (for once in her life) as this new girl joined them. It was cool she was into Batman, and actually knew what the fuck Tick, Tick... Boom! was; Lucy had figured she was the only one who'd been listening to that soundtrack long before RENT hit the big screen. But she wasn't sure liked her confident nature; especially not when it came to theatre... her theatre, as she often liked to think of it.
"Lucy Hartigan," she finally offered, a little belatedly. "We do need someone for Angel and if you know the part, well.. it makes sense," she said a little warily.

Reading Lucy like a book, as they were often able to do to each other, Brody leaned over closer to the brunette. She reached over and loosely wrapped one arm around her shoulder again, giving her the best pouty look that she could manage. "Retract the claws, beautiful, there are worse alternatives," she murmured. "I'd rather new girl instead of Samson Brighton. I might blow up the school if he plays Angel."

Harley was actually relieved by the feeling she got from Lucy. When one spends most of their life involved in theatre, she was well used to theatre-egos. And had one, herself. But, so far as she was concerned, it was good to know which people to look out for. Harley was really all about the end-result, and had every bit as much fun as a techie, or working chorus as she did as the lead -- so long as she was involved.
"I don't mean to step on anybody's toes," Harley said placidly, turning her hands outward as if to show herself unarmed (as though she would be anything else).

Lucy felt like she was in High School Musical 3 (which she'd seen the previous weekend, by herself, before work... Brody never would've come along), and she was Sharpay and this girl was Tiara Gold... but she banished the thought. "I know, I know," she said quietly to Bordy, before turning to Harley. "You're not stepping on anyone's toes," Lucy finally said, deciding to suck it up. If this girl knew what she was doing, their little Drama club needed her. "We need you as Angel."

"It's settled, then," Brody replied happily, freeing her arm, in order to clap both of her hands together. "We have a cast! Well, two of our members don't know they're in yet, but they can't argue with my beautiful face. We'll just need to hold those auditions on Wednesday, so we can fill in the minor rolls. It might be a wise idea to get some of the music club involved for the other members of the support group scene.. we'll need more singers, since it has it's own little number. Everybody cool with that?"

Johnny nodded, making a few notes in the book he held and frowned slightly. "If we have Ophi play Maureen, you realize we'll have no one to direct the shop kids in building the scenes, right?"
Grinning, Jude nudged Johnny. "we could always get Sams to oversee it. He might not be in, but he commands respect, doesn't he?"

Again, struggling to with hold her look of disgust, Brody turned back to face Lucy again. "Well, I guess we're done then. You wanna go for a.. walk? Maybe? We could unwind a bit?" she suggested quietly, eyes flickering absently to the other three people in the auditorium. Theatre comrades or not, all of that aside, there was no way she was inviting Jude Wainwright to get high with her.

"Awesome, Angel," she noted. "I look forward to it."
As the conversation went on, Harleen tried not to grin. The sheer amount of love between Jude and Brody was practically tangible. Really. Although, she supposed idly, perhaps it would be good to know who to suspect first if one or the other showed up dead -- although, really, Jude appeared far too mild-mannered to actually get up and murder somebody. Maybe someone would do it for him?
