Biting at her lip just slightly, Brody seemed to think hard on the question for a minute, before turning her head back in Lucy's direction. "Well, up to you, miss actress. I'm willing to belt it out for either one, too. Make your choice. Although I have this sinking feeling that you're really digging my glasses, and playing senor Mark.."

"Well, I'd be lying if I said RENT wasn't like, the one and only thing on my mind right now. But it has to go to vote. You guys know how I vote," she said, smiling. "So really, decide amongst yourselves. Whatever we decide may actually gain us some members, which would be fucking sweet seeing as we're currently a badass group of four," Lucy concluded. "And I do dig the glasses, but auditions still have to happen, so as much as I would want to be Mark, it's not a guarantee. So what do you guys all want to do?" she asked, addressing Brody, Johnny and even Jude.

"Pfft, you're too formal," Brody replied, waving her hand in the air, and leaning more closely to her friend, head dropping onto her shoulder. "We're doing RENT, you're playing Mark, and all of the little poseurs who have seen the movie, will want to come and join our club. That's the story, the end. Rock falls, everybody dies, Lucy Hartigan is victorious. Not to be confused with Victrola. Yes?"

Johnny chuckled at Brody's little spiel, shaking his head. Some days, the girl reminded him of Ophelia; sort of random and crazy. "I vote for Rent anyways; I can always be Collins. Except white."
Jude shrugged. "What ever you guys decide is fine with me."

Lucy's was practically shaking with excitement, but she was going to play it cool. "Well, seeing as Johnny's in charge, it would be more appropriate if he made a speech. However," she said, grinning broadly, not sure how much longer she could pretend not to be excited, "FUCKING SWEET, guys! Oh man... Epic. Completely epic. Johnny, you will be the greatest white Collins anyone has ever seen... Oh man. And Brody's the only one with the voice for Mimi, and Jude, you'd be a fucking sweet Roger. Angst that shit, own it. We'd only need a Maureen, a Joanne.. and an Angel. That's got to be done carefully. Angel, I mean... Angel's like the heart and soul..." she realized she was rambling.
"I'm sorry guys. My nerd senses are just tingling beyond."

Quite pleased with her friend's excitement, Brody gave a little laugh, before slinging an arm loosely around the shoulder she had been previously leaning her head onto. "Fucking awesome, we're going to rock this fucking stage, just wait and see. People will be blown the fuck away, when they see us do this play," she mused, seeming rather pleased herself. She didn't even openly complain about being paired opposite of Jude, which was definitely an improvement in the usual happenings of Brody Rogers.
"Hey though, you guys," she continued quickly, motioning to the Wainwright twins with her free hand. "Your sister is gay. Get her to be Maureen."

"Why not?" Lucy asked. "Other than Miss Obvious's reasoning here, she's musically talented. She would be amazing in Over the Moon, which is Maureen's crowning glory anyway. And she'd be my awkward ex, which is hilarious in itself," she said,leaning her head on Brody's shoulder. "If she'd do it, I think I can convince Jackson Peters' little sister to be Joanne. She's apparently stalking me, or so I've heard. I wonder what she'd do if she found out I fucked her brother..." Lucy said, grinning at her own vulgarity. "Don't mind my candidness, we're all ladies here, right?" she joked.
"But seriously, you guys should ask her. Then we'd just need an Angel. And a Benny, but we can pick anyone for that, the only song he sings is you'll see, it's not like it's a hard part to play."

"Seriously though, even if she can't act, she's.. eccentric, and she's pretty. Both of which Maureen is. And I bet if I asked her, she'd be in. She's in drama class, isn't she? And Lucy's Whore's sister might be a good choice, too. Although she's a little less brown than a proper Joanne. She can act though, god bless her tiny little self, and I wouldn't mind seeing her."
Pausing, she nodded in agreement with her own words. "As Luce says, that leaves us needing Angel, and Benny. So maybe it's time to expand our little club house."

"Man, if you think you can get her to do it, I think you guys should at least try. And we don't have any brown folk around here, you know that," she said, sticking her tongue out. "Obviously Johnny isn't brown enough to be a proper Collins, either, but that's not stopping us. It will be the whitest RENT anyone has ever known. If we could find a black kid for Benny though, that would be good," she mused.

She seemed to have almost even forgotten about Jude being her opposite lead, or at least not caring as much. RENT was RENT.
