"That definitely sounds like something I would enjoy. When are they playing next?" Torin asked, tilting his head to the side and smiling slightly. It had been a long time since he'd gotten attached to a band and why not have his new obsession be some local talent?

"Don't quote me on it, but I do believe they play four days a week. And one of them is a Saturday, if I'm correct. How does that sound?" Natasha suggested, smiling. "This Saturday, at Seneca Falls cafe?"

"This Saturday sounds just fine." Torin smiled, nodding just a little. "So... it's a date then?"

Feeling her cheeks immediately beginning to flush at Torin's choice of words, Natasha nodded. "It's a date, I'll be there," she replied softly. "I'll find out from Ophi when they go on stage, and I'll text it to you as soon as I know for sure, kay?"

"That sounds good to me." Torin nodded and smiled, kicking his feet down before walking over to his bookshelf, picking out one of the books and then walking back to his desk. "So, do you read much or do sports take up most of your time?"

"I read some, just not as much as I really should," Natasha admitted, watching Torin bringing the book back to his desk. "I mean, I captain most of my teams this year, plus work, and homework, I don't find as much time to read as I'd like. Why, what do you got there?"

"Oh, it's just Stephen King's Dreamcatcher, that's all." Torin smiled and sat back down at his desk, placing the book down on the wooden surface. "It's the fifth time I've read it, but I just love the book so much that I can't help but re-read it. Have you ever read any Stephen King books?"

Natasha glanced over at the cover of the book, attempting to judge what it might be about, and failing. She'd never heard of it, really. "I can't say that I have, actually," she admitted sheepishly. She almost added that if he wanted her to read it, she'd find time, but managed to keep from sounding as desperate as she felt. "It must be really fantastic if you've read it that often. I think my pop might have read some of King's books, but he's more into... well, Louis L'Amour is his favorite. And he likes Dean Koontz, too. He's a much more adamant reader than I am. Then again, he's been retired forever. I still have.. life to manage."

"Oh, it's an amazing book. If you have the time, I could lend it to you after I've finished reading it?" Torin smiled at Natasha as she named off her grandfather's favourite authors. "My father read Dean Koontz, but I never really got into his books."

"I'd love to," Natasha agreed quickly, again speaking with an eagerness that she meant to keep under wraps. She found her cheeks flushing a little, as she tried to push that away, and continue discussing books. "I don't fancy much of what he writes, but I really did like 'The Husband'. It was one of the only books of his that I enjoyed.. and then again, you're a psychologist, I'm sure if you had read it, you would probably think I was just drawn in by the family turmoil in that book. The idea of being betrayed by your family, so on. And I'll admit it, that was half of why I liked it so much. I like familiarity."
She was saying too much, but Torin knew everything anyway; what he hadn't read in the folder, she was sure she had told him, or he had pieced together. Her wreck of a family life was no secret.
