Adrian gently patted the dashboard, "Aw, the beast is nice. And I happen to be very good at negotiations, I'll have you know," he said, grinning.

Tatum smirked, loosening her grip on her friend's arm a bit so Leigh would better be able to lock the door, and she leaned more of her weight against Ophelia instead. "God, don't do that accent. You sound like Sera, dead serious, when she gets really into it? You know, when she swears in it? Drives me nuts."

Leigh giggled. "I can't help it! I love it when she does that! She's just rubbing off on me, y'know," Leigh noted and then looked at the pair pointedly, "It happens! Jeez, at leas I'm not writing odes to any of her various body parts."

"Not yet, maybe," Tatum replied, glancing at Ophelia, and giving her girlfriend a gentle elbow. "Just give it time, right? You'll start out small, maybe an ode to the accent, and then you'll be embarrassing her left, right, and center with odes about her body."

Ophelia made a face. "You know I could not write you ANYTHING EVER, Tatum. Just be snide and uncaring about your left nipple."
Jude smiled. "Oh, i bet you are, sir. And it's not often the beast is happy."

"Pft, I don't do odes. I do articles. As you should well know," Leigh answered. "Not to mention my entire lack of musical talent outside singing loudly and most likely off key in the shower. And in case you haven't forgotten, it's not like Sera and are dating like you two old married women. We're young! Single! And maybe one of us is obsessed, but you know what, aren't we supposed to be getting delicious greasy foodness?" Leigh finalized pointedly, trying to draw away from the subject. She had forgotten a little that she was going to talk to Sera the next day. She had also momentarily forgotten that she was utterly terrified.

"Snide and uncaring is better than overly enthusiastic, and singing far too much," Tatum replied, with a little shrug. "And Leigh is right, we need food. Let's get our asses down to the bus stop, I'm freezing my nipples off here, speaking of them.."
She didn't push the subject with Sera any further, simply because she understood the nervousness the blonde beside her was undoubtedly feeling. Hell, she could recall the nervousness she had felt about Ophelia once she realized she liked her, and in the end, she hadn't even been the one to actually do the asking out. She was glad Ophelia had, though, otherwise she would probably still be quietly pining.

Leigh offered Tatum a relieved expression when she subsided. "Let's get some deliciousness in you, ma'am!" she finalized the point, hoping Ophelia wasn't paying overmuch attention to here barely-hidden declaration of affection for Seraphim.
"Ah, I see," Adrian grinned at Jude. "I'm just gonna have to prove it to you, aren't I?"

"That notion I can second," Tatum agreed quietly, continuing their trek down the sidewalk, toward the bus stop just near the end of the block. In reality, the thought of food was turning her stomach, even despite the hunger she felt, but she wasn't about to voice such things to Leigh, and definitely not to Ophelia. Who would probably eat twice her weight in burgers, not gain a pound, and expect Tatum to do the same.
But she couldn't, wouldn't, let herself slip that way.

"Good," she replied, feeling that things were a little more right with the world, even despite her nerves for the upcoming situation. This was burgers with Tatum and Ophelia, who she didn't know quite as well, but who loved Tatum, so that certainly made her good in Leigh's opinion.
