Adrian pondered only momentarily the proper protocol of his reaction as he watched the scene unfold before him. He then promptly threw all consideration out the window and shot forward until he popped up on the side of Jude opposite the guitarist. He heard the admission of not eating somewhat distantly, and pushed at the bridge of his nose in an empty nervous habit, since he was wearing his contacts instead of his glasses. He knelt down onto the floor, and took up one of Jude's hands and squeezed it softly. "I thought you wanted groupie-screams, babe," he noted in a wavering voice, "not concerned oh-jeez-he-just-collapsed screams. You need to give a guy a warning before you give him a heart attack and switch up the whole routine." Jude was too pale, and shaking a little, and Adrian adjusted his hands until his fingers were interwoven with Jude's, and held the hand tighter. "This is not a good birthday present, man."

"Speak for yourself. I could drink plain, boring coffee for days on end. I mean, I'd die, but it would be a death worthy of a true caffeine addict, I think," Tatum mused, still laughing lightly as well. She listened to Leigh talking about her brother, and smiled again. "Oh, trust me, older brothers do that. I mean, Rath is only five minutes older than me, but his interests have definitely influenced me. He's already got my Halloween costume chosen for me, based upon them. They tend to do that, brothers. It's a pain, I know."
At the further mention of her sister, Tatum laughed once more. "She is really good, isn't she? For the gigantic nerd that she is. I know she'd rather be studying, but she does love soccer, and you guys are really, really good. You might win some tournaments this year, or so she tells me. She was bragging after you dropped her off from practice the other night, I had to listen for like, an hour," she explained, giving a mock exasperated look. "If you didn't have Sera, you might be in the same boat as me. Stress free, but a little lonely. And we'd just be skulking around together, yes, and then Ophelia would get upset because she'd get no alone time with me. It'd be a mess, really. You're better off skulking around my eggheaded sister, trust me."
"And any stories that I know? I'm keeping my sources quiet. Might have been from Seraphim, miiiiight have just been around school. But you also remember that you two have been hanging around for ages, I know all of your secrets, I watched you grow up," Tatum teased. "Still, give her a chat. I love how cranky she gets when you give her a lecture. And oh god, raspberry shot would be even better. You know how much she hates raspberry.. I don't think I actually was here to see the face, but I can pretty much picture it, just thinking about it. The fact that you got her that good? Makes me want to help out even more. In fact, I might just chill here until next break," she glanced over her shoulder. "Because someone just took my seat."
It occured to her then, that the music had stopped, and she furrowed her eyebrows a bit. She couldn't exactly see the stage from her current position, but something seemed to be up. "Actually, Leigh.. uhm, I don't think we're supposed to be at another break yet, are we?"
"I can't believe you haven't met her before. Hunter is gorg, I'll introduce you two. Leggy blonde, swears like a sailor, drinks so much that she smells like mommy's kisses. She's just like.. one of those people, you know, that everybody knows? She graduated like, three years ago, and she still hangs around the high school, with the high school kids, and goes to our dances, and throws parties and shit, even though she's like, in university. But she throws a good party. And she is totally just chill, she's great," Brody explained, nodding in agreement with her own words. She laughed loudly at Lucy's quote, and her further teasing, leaning over to punch her lightly with her good hand. "Fuck off, asshole, I'll do old men if I want. And for the record, I don't wear a wig. This shit is all natural, and you ought to know, since you spend so much time pulling on it in your throes of ecstasy."
Accepting the empty coffee cup, Brody nodded, shoving her chair back and standing up. "I got it, just to show that I love you. I love you, and my differently abled hand loves you. She strokes you, while you sleep, you know. Idle hands," the light-haired teen mused, motioning at her friend with said gimped hand, waving it gently. "Loves you, this one. Give her a kiss."
She was distracted, however, when the commotion on stage happened, the music stopping and Jude collapsing, caught by Ophelia, and now aided by some handsome redhead as well. Really, she tried not to laugh, she really tried, but it came out anyway, a loud snort of laugh, before she clapped her bad hand over her lips, ducking back into her chair before anyone identified her as the uncaring individual who had begun to laugh in the otherwise now quiet cafe. "Oh christ, Luce, did you see that?! What a douche!" she hissed.

"A break?" Leigh echoed (after reminding herself to find out Tatum's sources if given a chance), and her brow furrowed as she calculated the time and how long the group had been on stage. "This soon? There's no way. Although, yeah, we are kind of momentarily devoid of music...and people standing on stage..." She drifted off. The counter's position wasn't well set up for watching the group, particularly, and given that the audience didn't sit there, there was no problem with that. But when people were standing there, you could still see them. And there were still mic-stands to see, but Ophelia had disappeared from view, as had Jude, and Samson wasn't where as he was supposed to be, either. "Uh...Tate, I think that somethin' bad's happened." She wiped her hands nervously on her apron and headed out of behind the counter and towards the stage.

Once she had noticed the complete lack of band members on the stage, Tatum felt her stomach sinking immediately, her usual nervousness and worry overtaking her with ease. She wasn't wasting any time, following close behind Leigh as she came out from behind the counter, and started her way through the crowd, toward the stage. She had a feeling, a rather sinking feeling, that it was Jude. It usually was, as sick as he tended to be, but she tried to tell herself that it wasn't anything serious.
Except that, maybe this time, it was?
She pushed that train of thinking aside, and stopped behind her friend as they reached the stage in question, seeing Ophelia and Adrian before crouched down and helping Jude, who looked like he had just dropped straight onto his ass, more or less. Biting down hard on her lower lip, she peered over Leigh's shoulder at the scene. "D-Do you think he's okay?"

"He had better be," Leigh replied lowly, with an edge to her voice torn between concern and frustration. "For his sake and for...I don't know...everyone else's?" Leigh hopped up onto stage with practiced ease, hoping to draw the attention away from Jude and the rest, and grabbed the mic from the stand. She surveyed the crowd, bustling with quiet whispers. "Okay, people," she began in a succinct manner, "clearly the show is unexpectedly over for tonight. And as much as I hate to end the evening early, unless you're directly affiliated with the band, we're going to have to ask you to leave quietly in an orderly fashion, drive safe, and have a good night. If any of you have any lingering concerns, feel free to stop by tomorrow, and we'll answer any questions we can." Leigh was unsure of whether or not her boss would appreciate such a disclaimer, but the last thing she wanted was for the Wainwright family to be personally assaulted, even if by worried fans. Jude certainly wouldn't be up for it, and Ophelia would probably just get annoyed. Noting that the crowd seemed to be listening, however grumblingly, she knelt next to the trio of Ophelia, Adrian, and Jude. "What happened?"

Once the crowd had begun clearing out a little more, thinning out near the stage, Tatum followed Leigh up, glancing at her for just a moment, before moving over quickly to crouch down beside where Ophelia was with Jude. She wasn't sure what to say, just watching her girlfriend with a rather worried look, not sure how all of this was going to turn out.
If Jude had nearly fainted, she had a good guess as to why, and she wasn't going to judge him for it; she was in no position to do such a thing, given the circumstance. If nothing else, she could sympathize. She had felt rather faint herself, before getting the coffee into her, which kept her going for a while.
Now though, it was just making her feel shaky, as she longed to reach out to take Ophelia's hands, though they were currently holding onto the twin on the stage floor, and so she kept them tucked close to her lap. "We couldn't s-see, from back there, we didn't know until the music stopped," she added in, once Leigh had asked the question that had been on both of their minds.

Ophelia turned to Tatum, giving her a greatful look as she handed Jude over to Adrian's capable hands. "Dipshit here didn't eat. I haven't seen him eat in ages, to be frank; and he's been sick lately, so I imagine that didn't help. God, I'm so pissed at him." She ran a hand over her face, then reached out to take Tatum's hand. "I hate it when people do this to themselves. Don't they know how much it hurts the people who care about them to see them collapse? And that fucking Brody Rogers, I heard her laugh." She cast a look at Tatum, one that said 'you see why I don't want you to become him?'
Jude leaned heavily against Adrian, eyes closed and chest heaving. He felt like shit; it had hit him like a ton of bricks, and while he hated stopping a show, he was glad for Leigh doing it. "I'm fine. I'm fine." he stated wearily.

"Fine?" Adrian repeated blankly, "Well, okay, yeah, you might be fine, but you aren't okay," the joke was both lame and an automatic response from his fraying nerves. "But on the upside you have two options. You can come to my house where you're going to eat something, and sorry, babe, not cookies, or you and I are both going to your house where you're going to eat something. It doesn't have to be a lot, and if you want I can make you some soup that'll be a little easier on you. And then you're going to lay down and get a little rest. I'll even read you stories or comics, if you want," the redhead offered. "Either house has it's upsides. Mine is closer and probably going to be quieter, given that my parents aren't home, and I'm not going to let anybody in that you don't want there. But, you kinda live at your house, so if you want to go there....also cool.
"So," he asked with another teasing and automatic lilt, "your place, or mine?" He paused and then spoke on, quietly and sounding just shy of hurt, "Sorry for breaking my not-being-overbearing-about-food promise so early. But it's my birthday and you just really scared me and I didn't even get to groupie-scream at you."

Lucy smirked at her hair comment. "Throes of ecstacy my ass, your wishful thinking is getting you nowhere. AND DON'T TOUCH ME WITH THAT THING!" she skrieked, when Brody was going on about her injured hand. She'd seen Scary Movie 2 too many times. "Seriously, 'Take my strong hand, child' mean anything to you? I don't want it near me!" She smiled gratefully when Brody took the cup from her and started to get up.
"Like I said, I know of this Hunter one, I've just never met her face-to-face, seeing as she's like 6 years older than me or something. If she's cool with randoms, I may drop in at a party. Thanks for the coffee, also - and don't spill this one on our way back."
Lucy was distracted by the commotion on-stage; it seemed as if Jude Wainwright had collapsed or passed out, or something. "I saw that," she said gravely to Brody. "I don't think it was very douchey, looks kinda fucking scary, actually," she said quietly. "And I'm pretty sure your friend Ophelia there heard you... doesn't look one but pleased with you."

Jude squeezed his eyes shut; he knew that arguing was a losing battle, so he just nodded. "I guess my place...Ophelia will demand it anyways." He hung his head between his knees; hoping that the room would stop spinning for a moment.

Adrian nodded, accepting the argument and slid one arm around Jude, and adjusted himself. "Okay, then, let's get you up and out of here, and you're leaning on me -- no objections. Ophelia, a little help?" Adrian wasn't sure of his able to carry Jude's weight if he fainted again, and he didn't particularly want to risk it.

Ophelia nodded, grabbing Jude under his arms and pulling him up. "Christ, you're heavy, Jude-bear. Can you stand?"
Jude nodded, leaning heavily on his sister and Adrian while he stood. "I think I can stand, Ophi."

Adrian turned his attention to Ophelia, and half smiled, "Do you have a car here? I live close, so I walked, if you don't we can get him to my place and I can drive us from there."

Ophelia nodded, motioning for the boy to help her drag Jude outside. Turning to Leigh and Tatum, she raised a brow. "You two coming?"

Tatum didn't have much to say, just nodding slowly and swallowing hard, squeezing Ophelia's hand gently as the other girl spoke. She was well aware that the comments were aimed directly at her, even if no one else in the vicinity realized it, and she felt her stomach sinking a little, fighting down the urge to apologize, and potentially burst into tears. The mention of Brody, however, was a good distraction. She gave her girlfriend's hand one more squeeze, before Ophi was pulling away in order to help Adrian in hoisting up Jude. "Don't think about her, she's just being a bitch," she said quietly, glancing out into the clearing crowd for a moment.
As the two were helping Jude to stand, Tatum stayed back a bit, standing closer to Leigh and the microphone stand as they discussed what they were going to do and how they were going to get there. "I guess I won't get to help you make drinks, maybe next time?" she said softly, to the other girl, giving her a sheepish smile.
Brody was none too pleased with the ending of the show, and the distraction from the good time she and Lucy had been having. True, a Random Comment show wasn't her ideal place, but she did enjoy the cafe, and had been looking forward to sharing another coffee with her friend, over teasing about her out of commission hand, and comments about how Lucy had clearly seen Scary Movie more than was healthy.
She even felt a little bad, when Lucy seemed so solemn about the whole thing, and Leigh was standing up on the stage and asking everyone to leave the cafe in an orderly fashion. The fact that Ophelia might have heard her laughing, also did not improve her mood. She felt herself blushing a little, feeling worse, and hating herself for caring. "Forced evacuation, talk about an attention whore, Douchewright does it again," she muttered bitterly, as she turned in her chair to look at Lucy for a moment, before standing up, tossing their empty cup onto the table, before motioning to the crowd of people leaving the club. "Come on, let's go get baked."
