"My sister knows nothing about soccer. She's more into music than sports, so it kind of sucks. An intramural team, hmm? I'll have to think about but it does sound pretty interesting. Providing they wouldn't mind an old guy playing on the team." He chuckled a little, his bright smile still crossing his features.
At hearing Natasha's giggles, Torin couldn't keep in his own laughter. He let out a loud bark of a laugh before quickly changing it into an awkward cough. "Well... I suppose you could tell your friends about it. But no teacher is allowed to hear that I said that, yeah? I rather like this job."

"Trust me, older guys than you play on our team," Natasha assured him quickly. "Older women, too. I'm actually one of the younger people in the league, honestly, pretty much everybody is either in their twenties, or their thirties. You'll fit right in. And hey, nothing wrong with music. I'd just.. rather play soccer any day. And I can't play music, only listen."
Natasha grinned at that, nodding her head in agreement. "Deal, totally. I think he's not so bad, he's just.. really, really serious about his job, that's all," she offered. "But mostly it's a stick up his ass."

"Well...I suppose if I won't be the oldest on the team, I'll definitely have to look into joining. It'll be nice to play soccer with people who actually know how to play." Torin laughed and then leaned forward on his elbows, "My sister's got an amazing voice and she can play the guitar. I've tried singing with her but uh... I can't harmonize that well. Hence why I prefer to stick to sports."
"He's a bit too serious about his job, I'd say." He nodded a little, still smiling. "But I guess when you're a principal at a high school, you have to be that way...yeah?"

"I couldn't hold a tune in a bucket," Natasha admitted, laughing a little as well. "I have friends who can, though. I don't know how familiar you are with the local music scene, but I'm pretty good friends with Random Comment. You've probably heard them, if you've ever had a coffee at Seneca Falls Cafe after three o'clock. And Brody Rogers, too, she's on my rugby team. So I know a few musicians, just couldn't do it myself."
"Hey, he's got a metric ton of kids to look out for. Our school is huge, and we have four whole grades to look after. He might have to be that way, mostly to stay sane?"

"My sister knows who they are and tells me they're pretty amazing. I've actually haven't heard them yet, but my sister has great music taste so I'm sure she's not lying about them being talented." Torin smiled a little wider now, observing Natasha from behind his bangs. "I guess the two of us are better off sticking to sports, huh?"
"I'd definitely say he needs to be that way to stay sane. It's a good thing he's only sent the seniors to me so far. Although I bet once he's got the seniors out of the way he'll send me the juniors and so on. ...How many kids are there at this school anyway?"

"They are good, I think you'd like them, most people do," Natasha said simply, shrugging. "And well, as they say, jocks for the win? Someone has to play sports, and keep all of the sports fans amused. We do an important duty for society."
The math of working out how many students were in the school easily stumped her, as she made a concentrated face, and pressed her index finger up to her chin. "Well, I have over a couple hundred in my graduating class, easy. And that's just the seniors. We seem like a small city, people make fun of us, compared to some other ones, but I think breeders flock here. I have at least three friends who have four siblings, or more. I think I'm the single only child in Parkdale."

"I'll definitely look into joining then." Torin smiled, laughing just a bit. "Yeah, someone's got to keep the sports fans at bay, right? We don't want to be the cause of any crazy riots."
"Shit." He worked out the numbers in his head and then laughed a bit. "I've only seen about 50 of the seniors by now. Just thinking about helping out the entire school? Ho boy." He then shook his head a little to clear those thoughts before speaking again. "I've got two siblings myself. Both younger. They're both pretty...normal."

"Yeah, we're a really big school," Natasha agreed, giving him a sheepish little smile. "We get a lot of transfers, and people bus in, or they have their kids live in residence, since we're so fancy and advanced. For such a small city, it's a weird thing to have a school like PCS. We're kind of like a kindergarten version of university, but I'm not complaining. We're all really lucky to be attending school here," she added, with a little nod of her head.
"I don't know, I might have other siblings. I mean, I don't know them, but my mom and dad could have other kids. As far as I'm concerned though, I'm an only child. You're lucky, I'd actually really like to have a sister."

"I'm not really used to such a big school like this. I'm from out of town and the school I went to was rather small. About 150 students over the four grades." Torin said, shrugging just a little. "You're definitely lucky to be enrolled here, I'd have killed to have gone to school in a place like this."
"I was an only child until my sister was born when I was seven. I don't think I'd want to go back to that time in my life. As bothersome as having siblings can be sometimes, I love them just the same."

"I'm mostly a fan of our athletics. We're lucky to have a school with the money to really support them, and enough students to fill them out. This place is pretty well known for our arts, too, though. We have theatre, and dance, and music, and just about everything in between. But we're well known for almost all of our studies, not just the stuff we do in the gym," Natasha explained, grinning some. "Seriously though, I bet you'll like it here. Although some of the students might be a pain, you'll live."
She nodded at his statement about his siblings, reclining in her chair again. "You only mentioned your one sister. Do you have another one, or a little brother?"

"This school is about ten times better than what I had when I was in high school, so you're definitely lucky to be attending school here. I already think I'm going to enjoy working here." Torin smiled at her, brushed his bangs out of his eyes, and laughed a little.
"I've got a younger brother too. He's still in elementary but he's one of the coolest little kids I've ever known. I wish I could have taken him with me when I moved out but his mother is still too attached to him so I sort of had to leave him behind..."

"That must be nice, to have a mother who's attached to you like that. For him, I mean," Natasha replied softly, looking just a little sullen as she said it. At least she managed to keep some of the bitterness out of her tone. "But sad for you, that you and your sister don't get to see him anymore. Or at least not often, I guess? Did you guys live far from here?"
"I've lived in Parkdale pretty much forever, and I've only ever left when I go on trips with the school teams and stuff. We travel all over the place, but I'm always so focused on winning, we never get to spend any time exploring the cities we visit."

"It's kind of annoying how attached she is to him. He wasn't even allowed to cross the street if she wasn't there holding his hand. Yeah, he's only seven years old but like... come on, ya know?" Torin sighed, resting his chin in the palm of his hand. "Yeah, we lived about three hours away from here. So it's not very often that we get to see him."
"You might have even played against my old school's team then. But of course I wouldn't have been there. What with how old I am and all that."

"I had friends like that when I was growing up," Natasha replied, sighing a bit as well, and watching him rest his chin into his palm. "It's a shame that you guys are so far apart. I'm sure once he's older, he'll probably tell his mom that he wants to see you more. Once he's old enough to get a choice."
"What was your school's name? We might have been against them. Though, probably not you, yeah. Plus I only played against the girl's teams, as far as schools go."

"I'd go back there and like...kidnap him or something but well, like I said... his mother is too attached to him and all that. I hope he'll want to come live with me and Meghan when he's a little older. " Torin sighed again, a slight frown crossing his features. "Why he'd want to remain in a house with that woman would be beyond me."
"Kingsley West High."
