Steven was the first son to be born; with Riley and Jacob following soon after, then Sarah and finally Samson, the baby of the group. All of the children are within a few years apart; the largest gap being between Samson and Sarah at four years. The Brighton family is one full of love and compassion; a reason why the children get away with so many parties, despite Sarah's unwant for them.

About You|| Name: Amie. Age: Nineteen. Email: pyrateamie@gmail.com AIM/MSN/YIM: Boys ala Radio / pyratesss@hotmail.com / pyratesss
About Your Character|| Name: Alexandra Sophia Harwood. [Goes by Alex.] Age: Fifteen. Gender: Female. Sexuality: Open & also confused. She hasn't quite figured out who/what she likes yet, and is pretty much baffled and hormonal about the whole thing. Nationality: Born and raised American, although her father's side of the family was originally from the United Kingdom. Birthday: August 31st, 1993.
Family: Kate Harwood [mother], James Harwood [father; estranged], Maxine Harwood [older sister], Kenneth Harwood [older brother]. Pet(s): None. Apartment doesn't allow any. Occupation: Unemployed. She plans to start seeking one out as soon as she's sixteen, to help out her mother with bills. Residence: She lives in an apartment building with her mother and siblings, on the fourth floor. Their apartment is pretty close to downtown, and she usually takes the city bus into school, since they don't own a car, and it would be too far to walk back and forth every day. Especially in the winter.
Grade: Nine [Freshman]. Best Subject: Home Economics & History. Worst Subject: Music Studies & Physics. Clubs/Extra-Curricular: Drama club, model united nations, computer club, peer helpers, environmental science club, and she is strongly considering trying out for the cheer squad when the chance arrives. Although she isn't sure if she'll make it, and the fact makes her quite nervous.
Appearance: Out of herself and her siblings, Alex is the one whom resembles their mother. Both her older brother and sister look like the paternal side of their family, with their blonde hair and light eyes, but Alex is very close to a spitting image of the Harwood family matriarch. Alex has soft hair, which is somewhere in the middle of several shades of brown, with a reddish tint to it. It reaches just past her shoulders in length, and is very wavy. Aside from her bangs, she usually likes to keep it out of her face, and sometimes pulls it back into loose buns and claw style clips to establish this.
Alex has a sort of olive skin complexion, and she can manage to usually tan even darker during the summer. After all, she does spend a fair bit of her time outdoors. She applies a bit of make-up each day, but no large amount, unless she is preparing for some sort of special occasion. She mostly just keeps a bit of eye make-up, and occasionally a bit of blush, or some powder. She isn't really obsessive about her appearance, and if she has to choose make-up, she usually tries hard to stick to a natural brand, perhaps an influence from her sister.
Alex's eyes, very similar to her mother's as well, are a very light brown in color and rather round. Usually filled with absent curiosity, and accented with just a hint of make-up. She has a round face, with a button nose, full pink lips [which she hates], and thin eyebrows. Her cheeks are a big pudgy, still outgrowing the baby-fat stage with puberty, and rather rosy. Unlike her mother, however, her jawline isn't incredibly defined, which she is thankful for; having a "manly jaw" would only further make her more self conscious than she already is, as an average fifteen year old girl.
No where near being done growing, Alex stands at just over five feet tall, with lots of room to sprout up inches as she ages. Although, given her resemblance to her mother, she may not. She has a nice figure for her age, just a bit short of an athletic stature; the type of figure of a girl just beginning of really develop. She is really hoping to build on her slight figure, so that she'll be in good enough shape to be on the cheerleading squad soon. Her breasts, hips, and other curves are just starting to come into their full blossoming, and she feels more than a little self conscious about it, between the general awkwardness, and the newly acquired looks from her male classmates. She had her nose pierced last year, but has since taken it out and allowed it to grow over. She is thinking about doing it again, but isn't sure yet.
Mostly, Alex's sense of fashion is.. well, whatever Maxxie dresses her up in, to be frank. Her sister's bohemian style tends to leak into her life, as well as her closet, and she is more than used to playing the part of her older sister's little dress up doll. When she actually gets to choose her own clothes, she prefers casual styles, tee shirts and jeans, sweaters and tank tops, and things of that nature. She has more than just a little bit of an affection for sneakers, and shoes in general. She also loves to dress up in fancy gowns and lolita style dresses, even if their family can't afford them, and she has made Maxxie take her more than once to look into stores, and try things on. Just for fun.
Play By: Emily Browning.
Personality: Alex is really quite a kind and gentle girl, and just a tad shy. Although, having the siblings that she does, she doesn't exactly get the luxury of being able to dwell much on the shyness. Alex is friendly girl, and she makes friends easily, and doesn't hesitate to be kind even to a complete stranger, and help other people out whenever she can manage. Almost always smiling, Alex doesn't place a judgment onto someone, until she genuinely gets to know them, and she tends to believe in others a bit too easily, making her a bit easily manipulated, and easily taken advantage of. Her siblings have been trying to break her away from her naive attitude, and it's been hard going, but she is mostly getting there.
Once she makes a friend, Alex tends to stick very close to them, and doesn't like to break ties unless she has to. Even when she [quite rarely] gets into a fight with a friend, she had a tendency to dwell and get very upset over the confrontation, and she is usually the very first person to cave in and apologize, even if she wasn't actually the person in the wrong. She tries not to be a push over, if she can help it, but she gives in easily to her friends, and has an undying need and want to make them happy.
At school, unless she is dragged into trouble by her siblings or a friend, Alex tries to stay out of the principal's office as much as possible. She is naturally innocent and charming, and adults often have a hard time being tough on her, given her usually sunny disposition. She is a rather active girl, with loads of enthusiasm and energy, and she is really hoping to be a part of the cheerleading squad this year, or perhaps the one after [if she chickens out this semester]. Her temper is almost nonexistent, unless you mess with her family or her closest friends, which are about the only situations that can manage to get her riled up. And even then, she has a much quicker switch to cruel words, rather than hair trigger fists. Seeing Alex get into a fist fight would almost never happen, although she could probably hold her own against most girls her age.
She is a responsible girl, for being just fifteen, and it has probably come from the upbringing that she, Maxxie, and Ken have had. With their father always being absent, and their mother as the only working adult in their home, it was up to the Harwood children to be mature and take care of themselves at a young age. Although she is just a young girl, Alex is very self-sufficient [also an excellent cook], and can take on leadership roles, and various tasks, with relative ease. Even if she knows that sometimes she'd rather be relaxing, she is willing to push aside her own wants, and accept that she has responsibilities to take care of instead. This is part of what has inspired her to get a job, as soon as she turns sixteen, so that she can help add to her family, financially. She's always felt a bit like the burden of her mother and siblings, as she's the baby of the family, and she really just wants to chip in her part.
She is incredibly loyal to her family, and dedicates her life to them, going to any length at all to make sure that they're content. She does what she can, as little as it may be, in order to make sure that her mother isn't too stressed out by raising three children on her own. This mostly equates to allowing Maxxie to amuse herself by dressing her up, or by cooking dinner, doing the laundry, etcetc.
Despite her naive attitude, Alex is not easily influenced by her peers, or easily dragged into trends. She doesn't believe easily in the fickle opinions of teenage girls, and has no adoration for many of the false idols that girls her age strive to be just like. She has a very good mind of her own, and is usually the first to speak up into a conversation, and point of the flaws and faults to a situation, if she has a poor opinion on the subject. Not above arguing, she doesn't let herself be a doormat, even if she is overly trusting. She can be a bit cynical about life sometimes, especially about their home life and situation there, although she tries to keep smiling and allow only her kinder side to show through. It takes a lot to get her into cynically upset mode. She can over analyze with the best of them, and worry with them as well. Mostly, she just thinks too much when she's alone or has a moment to spare, and usually only Maxxie and Ken can figure out when she's doing so. They do a fairly good job of getting her to smile again, and be less of a worrywort.
Interests: Alex is interested in a various number of things, but her two main focuses seem to be cheerleading, and cooking. She spends her fair amount of time studying and watching television, and even wandering around with her friends, as most teenage girls tend to do, but she is very passionate about her sport. She has watched professional cheerleading for years, and has always told herself that as soon as she began high school, she'd try out for the team. She isn't exactly confident in her own skills, and not making the team would more or less shatter her tiny heart. Cooking is something that she got interested in at a young age, through her older brother teaching her, while their mother was off working. To this day, they often cook their meals together, in matching aprons, completing meals in record time with their well matched moves. She is considering going to a culinary course when she graduates, if their family can afford it, or if she manages to save up for it.
History: Both born and raised in the city of Parkdale, Alexandra Harwood is the baby of her family, and it is a fact that she can't easily escape from. She was the last member of the family to arrive, just before her father left her mother, and more or less disappeared from the face of the planet. Meeting in college, James and Kate Harwood were a rather incredibly balanced couple, until they had their children. It seemed that James, who had been more than fine with the idea of a family, was not actually as prepared as he liked to believe. They were married soon enough, and there was strain after Kenneth was born, and then even more strain after Maxine was born. James spent a lot of his time away from home, not wanting to be involved with troublesome children, and it caused much fighting and upset in the family. When Kate became pregnant with Alex, it was the final straw, and James up and left their family behind completely. Kate, although worried about raising three children on her own, was not exactly sad to see him go. She assumes he left Parkdale and returned to the UK.
The family hasn't heard from James Harwood in a number of years, either physically nor through money, and he seems to have no interest in supporting his family, or even meeting his youngest daughter. By the time Alex was born, James was gone, and she has never actually been in contact with him. She has never met any of his family either, since they live outside of Parkdale. She has never even seen a photograph of him, since their mother doesn't keep any in the house, and Maxxie and Ken were both a bit young to remember him well enough to describe him to her. Not that he was exactly around enough to get a proper memory of.
After their father left, Kate was forced to leave the large family home they had been living in, and move the four of them into an apartment building, at a much more affordable rate. They have lived in several buildings through out the years, and currently live in an average one close to the downtown area of Parkdale. It was small, and money was tight with only her working, but things managed to work out fairly well for them. All three of her children turned out decently responsible, because of this, and although she does feel a bit bad that they had to spend their childhoods acting more like grown ups, she isn't exactly 'sorry' for it. Life is tough, and she feels that having them know that from the beginning will probably make adult life a lot easier on them in the long run. Her mother, and her siblings, do tend to baby her a bit, and dot on her perhaps too much, but it's something that she has given up arguing about. She knows that they'll always treat her like a kid, even when she's fully grown, because it's the only role they'll ever see her in.
With just their mother as their guardian, she spent almost all of her time working [once they were old enough to be left on their own or with a babysitter when money allowed it], and so a lot of Alex's upbringing was done by Maxxie and Ken. She learned loads from her siblings, most notably her passion for cooking coming from her older brother. They were responsible, learned to be thankful for what they had, and didn't believe in wasting. They weren't exactly poor, but a one woman income didn't exactly leave them with cash to roll in. Alex was more than okay with the fact that she had to wear her sister's [and sometimes brother's] hand-me downs, rather than being able to go out shopping for her own things.
Her brother and sister are easily her best friends, although she does have a good amount of other friends in their apartment building, and at their school. In fact, she had just begun her very first year at Parkdale Community School, and she probably would have been much more nervous, if she didn't have Maxxie and Ken at school with her. She spent the whole summer worrying about starting at a new school, especially such a fancy one, but now that she is attending and has settled into her situation, as well as gotten settled in with all of her friends from junior high, she is more than happy with her place in PCS. She is a good student, with a naturally curious mind, and a thirst for knowledge, paying attention and doing her best in her subjects, so that she can make something out of herself when she graduates.

About You|| Name: Amie. Age: Nineteen. Email: pyrateamie@gmail.com AIM/MSN/YIM: Boys ala Radio / pyratesss@hotmail.com / pyratesss
About Your Character|| Name: Natasha Reece Ainsworth. Age: Eighteen. Gender: Female. Sexuality: Bisexual. Nationality: American. Birthday: May 24th, 1990.
Family: Maureen Ainsworth [mother; estranged], Randy Ainsworth [father; estranged], Jean Ainsworth [paternal grandmother], William Ainsworth [paternal grandfather]. Pet(s): She owns a Siamese cat named Chantel, and an all black male cat named Gene. Occupation: She works part-time in one of the clothing stores at the mall, although she is very close to quitting, and looking for something else. She isn't sure what yet, although hearing that the Seneca Falls cafe is looking for people is a bit intriguing. Residence: She lives with her paternal grandparents in a large, old house that is located in the more suburban portion of Parkdale. She is a fair distance away from the school, and the rest of the city, but she has her own car, and thus has no trouble driving anywhere.
Grade: Twelve [Senior]. Best Subject: Physical Education. Worst Subject: French & Drama. Clubs/Extra-Curricular: Girl's soccer, girl's rugby, track & field, martial arts club, and any other sport that needs her assitance. Also occasionally takes part in the yearbook club.
Appearance: Natasha has dark blonde hair, nearly brown. It is rather thin, easily tangles, and it is fairly long. Straight, and without even a hint of a curl or a wave. When down, it hangs past the middle of her shoulder blades, but she rarely actually wears it down for any extended period of time. On almost any given day, Natasha has her hair pulled back out of her face, into a bun, with just some scarce pieces left to hang around her face, and give her a bit of bangs. Seeing her with her hair left hanging is a bit of a rarity, and is usually only seen after post soccer game showers, or on another very special occasion.
Her skin is fair, but not exactly pale, and she is usually pretty tanned for a majority of the year, from all of the time that she spends outside; either playing a sport, or just going on runs, or even just wandering around the city. She isn't the type to stay inside and let herself get all pasty. She usually wears make-up, unless she is playing a game [which makes the whole make-up thing sort of irrelevant in her opinion], and she isn't ashamed to admit it. Despite her love for sports, she is a true woman, and she believes that a woman should look her best. She usually applies quite a bit of make-up to her face, although she'll be the first to tell you that she does it of her own free will, not to hide herself. Her skin is smooth, and well cared for, although it is sometimes marred by bruises from all of her rough and tumble contact sports endeavors.
With almond shaped eyes of a light blue color, Natasha usually outlines them with a touch of her favorite eye make-up. She has a bit of an angular face, with high cheekbones, and pair of thin lips. Her nose is straight, and her eyebrows are well defined and shapely. She had braces up until eleventh grade, just having them removed this summer, and is very proud of her now straight and pearly white teeth.
She is a lanky sort of girl, standing at about five feet and ten inches, and with a slender and athletic body. She is pretty well toned, from spending years and years of her life playing sports, but she isn't a bulky or particularly muscular girl. It's true that she is a lot stronger than she appears. Her legs are pretty long, encompassing a large portion of her height. She has average curves, and is actually pretty glad that her breasts and hips aren't particularly endowed, since they would only get in her way when she is trying to run and such during athletics. Natasha's ears and naval are pierced, and she has two tattoos, a medium sized dragonfly on her left shoulder, and the words 'Times Like These' in thin cursive writing on her right shoulder. The tattoos were both done in the same session, and were her eighteenth birthday present from a good friend.
Natasha's fashion sense is rather modest. She has a gray zipper up spring jacket, which she wears over pretty much everything, almost all year long. Even in the sweltering heats of summer. She is fond of tee shirts, rugby-style shirts, and polos in particular. She doesn't mind dressing up, and owns quite a few fancy shirts, but they rarely come out if something special isn't going on, or if her grandmother hassles her about it. Mostly, she just wears jeans and cargo pants, although she is pretty easily persuaded into wearing a skirt or something, if she's feeling the mind for it. She usually wears sneakers, particularly tennis shoes, and has quite a collection of them, which she can usually be found sporting every day, usually a different color each time.
Play By: Melanie Laurent.
Personality: She isn't exactly the most social girl in the entire school, but Natasha is more or less friendly over all. She can come off as a bit aloof, and rather reserved, until you genuinely get to know her better. Most of her social circle comes from people that she has either known all of her life, or girls that she had met through her sports teams. Despite being a bit of a tomboy, she is actually pretty bad at playing the role of 'one of the guys', and is pretty much the definition of awkward around most males, unless she knows them very well. Always polite, and a usually smiling fondly if she can help it, Natasha is a good kid, and she usually doesn't have a bad word to say about somebody, unless they've really messed with her in the past.
Athletic, genuine, and just slightly distant, Natasha can be a trouble maker when the time calls for such actions. She isn't afraid to stand up for herself, or for her friends, and she isn't particularly afraid of authority, or prosecution for rule breaking. First and foremost, she believes in what is right, and what she wants to defend, even if it means she might get into a lot of crap for it. She has done detention before, and she can do it again. She doesn't quite have the charm and tact to cover her tracks, or to try to sneak around with her trouble causing ways. Really, she is just quite frank, and is more than willing to step up and face an issue head on. If she has a problem, and plans to cause trouble, then she does just that, without any of the dicking around.
Natasha's energy level is quite a force to be reckoned with. She loves to be active, always running everywhere, and always ready to have a race, or goof off with friends. She loves being physical, and is in excellent shape, even if her body isn't incredibly buff. She plays loads of sports, and is always willing to get involved in manual labour, or physical competition. She isn't quite hyper active, but she is certainly always itched to be going again, and it can lead her into situations that aren't ideal. She has a hard time paying attention to her school lessons, or sitting still for extended periods of time, and can usually be found fidgeting, or scribbling onto her papers when she ought to be taking notes.
One downfalls to all of Natasha's positive qualities is her incredible temper. She may seem standoffish and distant, but it isn't always true. Although she is mostly friendly to most people, the people she doesn't like, or whom cross her, usually would watch their backs, if they know whats good for them. And their personal health. She has a bit of a hair trigger when it comes to getting mad, and she tends to allow things to frustrate her easily, even little things, that proceed and build her into fits of upset. She has been going to anger management treatment since she was about fourteen, nearly four years ago. She spent almost all of her entire school career getting into fist fights, and usually winning. And usually taking the fights way too far. She's been suspended on numerous occasions for them, although this year has [so far] been fight free, and she is on a last straw with Principal During. If she blows up this last chance, she runs the possibility of not graduating with the rest of her classmates, or being removed from her teams. She's learning to control herself, and to try to handle her problems like an adult, instead of getting into fights.
More than anything, Natasha is afraid of being alone, or being left behind. She tries to stay as close as she can to all of her friends, and to make sure that they're happy. Losing a friend, or growing apart from someone, is really rather traumatic on her, and upsets her much more than it would upset an average person. From a young age, Natasha has clung to all that she has, and isn't willing to let go, perhaps stemming from the situation with her parents.
She has a good sense of humor, although it can be a bit crude. Most of her friends have some to accept this by now. Ninety percent of the time, she is calm, and has an excellent leadership skill, which she usually puts into play on the sports field. She is captain of several of her teams, and is great with advice and guidance for her girls, never wanting to let them down. If she can't go professionally into sports one day, she'd love to be a coach instead. She's protective of her teams, particularly the younger girls, and she looks out for them at any given chance, even just as a quiet watching eye in the corridors. Sports are her life, and her teammates are like her family.
Mostly, Natasha is responsible [aside from her fighting habits], and she prefers to try to avoid too much confrontation. She'd rather focus on her sports, and on her friends, having fun and laughing with them. She isn't much of a party girl, since she neither drinks nor does drugs [although she does smoke clove cigarettes], but it doesn't mean she isn't willing to come along, or have fun. She's just mature about it, and usually spends the evenings looking out for friends, or playing the role of designated driver instead. There is a softness to her, and a kindness, and it usually shows to said friends, when she's playing her motherly role and looking after them. She gets her maternal instincts mostly from her grandmother, who is willing to pretty much throw affection at anyone without close proximity, something that Natasha feels, and mostly just reserves for the right occasions.
Interests: Sports, sports, and more sports. Natasha is all about physical activity, and doing her best at it. She is on several official school teams, as well as playing intramurals, and a bunch of leisure sports teams around Parkdale. She expects nothing but perfection from herself, and hates losing. She gets a bit sore over it, mostly. Even when she isn't playing exclusively for PCS, she can usually be playing some sport somewhere around the city on the weekends, or doing whatever calls to her at the time. Her body is feminine, it isn't buff or muscular to any extreme, but she keeps it in tip top shape; usually working out at the gym when she has time, and running both before school and before bed, every day and night. Even in the freezing colds of winter. Natasha is also a rather big fan of music, liking to have it to listen to while she runs, or plays a game. It keeps her focused, and in 'the zone'. Her three favorite bands are Sonic Youth, the Strokes, and the Foo Fighters.
History: From the beginning, Natasha hadn't exactly been planned. A pair of rather troubled teenagers, Maureen and Randy Ainsworth met in college in Parkdale, and after a couple of dates, and a rather meaningless fling, they had been more than set to go each others separate ways, barely able to stand each other, until it was realized that said fling had resulted in the conception of Natasha, just before graduate from their college years. They were urged into marriage by both of their parents, and within a few months, their daughter was born.
The wedding had been a terrible idea, since neither Maureen nor Randy had been particularly interested in each other. They stayed true to each other, at least, but it didn't seem to stop any of the fighting. Which was more or less constant for the entire four years that they were together. Both verbal, physical, and mental abuse toward each other more or less equated to the status quo in their home, and neither of them seemed to particularly care about the effect it may or may not have had on their young daughter. Who was, basically, forgotten in the fuss of it all. As a toddler, Natasha was desperate for the attention and affection of her parents, as any little girl would be, but when they weren't fighting with each other violently and heatedly, she was lost in the rest, and actively ignored. Perhaps because she was a reminder of the marriage, and it's complete failure, or perhaps because neither of them had the patience for her. It hadn't been as if either of them had been looking to have a daughter in their lives.
When Natasha was four, her parents had a particularly brutal fight, and her mother promptly kicked her father out of their house. Their divorce was filed the next week, and finalized not long after. For the next couple of months, Natasha shifted between living with her mother on and off, and being sent to her grandparents house when her mother couldn't 'handle' her daughter. One day, her mother dropped her off at her paternal grandparents house for an afternoon, and just never came back again. Both her mother and father seemed to have up and left Parkdale completely, and left her completely. She waited almost a year, telling herself that her mother would come back, before she gave up, and her concern turned into rather bitter rage. Her parents, and what they did to her, are a rather touchy subject, which she tries to avoid at all costs. Neither she, nor her grandparents, have heard from either of them in years. As far as Natasha knows, they're off with other families and other lives, in other cities, perhaps finally happy, finally away from her, and each other.
It was perhaps the years of witnessing abuse, and the blatant abandonment, that have given Natasha her issues with anger, and her issues with commitment and abandonment. They were both things that she's been seeing a therapist about, and seeking help for, but she isn't quite on her road to recovery just yet.
After her parents left her more or less upon the doorstep of her grandparents, the older couple took her under their wing, as their own daughter. They had spent a fair amount of time raising her anyway, from the time she had been born, and so finally taking her into their home had been something they'd be expecting from the get go. Neither their son, nor their daughter-in-law, were particularly reliable, and they were glad just to be able to give Natasha a stable home, and somewhere to grow up, away from the riotous influence of her mother and father. From the moment she came into their home, at four years old, up until present day, at age eighteen, they've showered their granddaughter with affection, and raised her to be the best that she could be, encouraging her love of sports, and looking out for her at every turn.
It was her grandparents who made sure that she began seeking help, when issues with fighting arose. They only wanted the best for her, no matter what had to be done, and they've been willing to be strict when the time calls for it. She's been grounded from her teams perhaps more times than she can count, over issues with fighting and trouble making.
Both retired, and gaining in age, there isn't an incredible amount of money in their home, but they live around middle class. Natasha is hoping for a sports scholarship, so that her grandparents won't have to pay for her to go to school after PCS. And also, she hopes that they'll be around long enough to see her graduate from university. She often worries about their age, and their health, although they both tell her that she's over-analyzing their situation. They're plenty spry for their age.

When involved in things she cares about, she can and will ignore or destroy things in her way to get where she wants to be. She won't take abuse from anyone, and firmly believes in the phrase "Nobody can make you feel inferior without your consent" and gives no one the consent to do so. Except maybe her father.
Interests: Harley's ultimate dream is to be on Broadway, and her interests reflect that. She's a fervid fan of musicals, listening to them, singing them, watching them when she can. She reads plays constantly, and adores movies, although she doesn't want to participate in that particular medium. She's learned to play guitar, violin, piano, and flute, and of them enjoys the violin the most, and indeed, it is the only instrument in which she's particularly talented -- talented at it enough, in fact, that she might pursue playing it if her Broadway-dreams aren't recognized. As any good play-obsessee, she is also a huge fan of William Shakespeare
Besides the Broadway, singing, dancing, play-reading, and music, she received her other strong interest from her father, and is a massive fan of Batman, to be further explained in "History".
History:
Dennis Michaels is first and foremost, Harleen's father. He was orphaned young, and was lucky enough to meet a very talented and affluent woman who eventually adopted him. He grew into a classically trained musician, and was wildly renown in his younger days. He was a massively sought concert pianist and cellist. While traveling abroad towards the end of an eight-year-career, he met and fell in love with a younger Asian woman, also a musician, named Minn Chang, who shortly after became pregnant with Harleen.
Minn was distraught, having never wanted children and desperately wanted an abortion, which went against her family's values and in fact, her country's laws. Finally deciding to give the infant up for adoption, Minn never grew to care in the slightest for what she commonly, and cruelly, referred to as "the parasite".
Meanwhile, in Dennis's eyes, Minn had fallen from grace somehow. He was always a compassionate man and given his own history, while the new life was unexpected, he was promptly in love with his unborn child. They thus separated romantically, but he stayed nearby throughout her pregnancy.
When his daughter was born, he begged Minn to give sole custody to him, with the understanding that she would never have to accept any mother-type role, and in fact, Harley does not even know her mother's name, or where she is. Minn, in similar fashion, almost immediately lost all touch with Dennis, and does not know her own daughter's name. She, to this day, has no regrets.
Having been financially successful enough to live on, and well, for the rest of his life, he quit playing music professionally, having tired of it, and knowing it was no living condition for an infant. Dennis, his entire life, had been a fanatic about the Batman comic series and spinoffs. And despite whatever upheaval his life endured, he kept and read every single comic book as a sole constant. He sent a resume to DC comics, and having been a lifelong fan and a fair-hand at art, he was accepted. He is lucky enough to be able to work from home (he uses the Master Bedroom as an art/music studio).
He freely admits that he named his daughter Harleen from the character Harleen Quinzel, his favorite character, and Daniella after the woman who had taken him in as a child, who supported him in everything he ever attempted to do. Daniella was a wealthy woman when she passed from heart troubles, and long since established a future for her adopted son and granddaughter.
Harley, as a child, was read old issues of Batman as bedtime stories, and grew to accept the Dark Knight as the hero who would beat up all of the boogey-men in the night. But her favorite character, perhaps ironically, had always been The Joker, leading to her calling her father "Mistah D" in a teasing mockery of her own role as sidekick in miniature.
Harley and her father have a wide array of pets, every one of which Harley has named. She worships her father, and he her, and he supports everything that she does. He taught her to play piano, and had her also taught the rest of her instruments. Dennis is the sort that he has attended every performance in which Harley participated.

About Your Character|| Name: Meghan Elina Taylor Age: Sixteen Gender: Female Sexuality: Straight Nationality: American Birthday: April 28th, 1992
Family: Torin Taylor [Older Brother], Kael Burke-Taylor [Younger Half-brother], Kenneth Taylor [Father], Karen Taylor [Mother; deceased], Yvonne Burke-Taylor [Step-mother] Pet(s): N/A Occupation: Works in a clothing store at Parkdale Mall. Residence: Lives with her older brother Torin in a small two-bedroom apartment in downtown Parkdale.
Grade: Ten [Sophomore] Best Subject: Theatre Worst Subject: Science Clubs/Extra-Curricular: Theatre Group/Choir
Appearance: Meghan has long dark brown hair that rests in the middle of her back. She almost always pulls it up in a ponytail so that it doesn’t get in her way, but she has been known to wear it down from time to time. Her eyes are a pale blue. She’s taller than most people her age (she stands at 5’9”) and has a small waist but slightly bigger hips. Her fashion styles vary from way out there to somewhat reserved.
Play By: Olivia Wilde
Personality: Meghan can sometimes be way too happy for her own good. This is mostly because she tries to cover up for the hardships in her past (like the passing of her mother and her father’s remarriage) by being overly chipper. She likes to tell really lame jokes that she thinks are funny (and therefore does not know they are lame). Music and Theatre are her main interests and she could really care less if she does bad in classes like math and science as long as her music/theatre marks are good.
Interests: She doesn’t have many interests outside music and theatre but she does like to play the odd videogame from time to time. She spends a lot of her time outside school composing music.
History: Meghan was born the second child to Kenneth and Karen Taylor on April 28th of 1992. When she was three-years-old, her mother passed away from complications from a previous car accident. Meghan was devastated with her mother’s death and closed herself off from everyone but her older brother. Shortly after her eighth birthday her father married one Yvonne Burke, a woman thirteen years his junior. A year later, her half-brother Kael was born (much to her dismay because she no longer got the attention from her father). She has recently moved out of her father’s house in favour of sharing a small two-bedroom apartment with her older brother.

Interests: He enjoys reading and helping people with their problems.
History: Torin was born November 4th, 1985 to Kenneth and Karen Taylor. His mother’s death didn’t hit him as hard as it hit Meghan, but he still resents his father for re-marrying only a few years after his mother passed away.
