Ken frowned, turnign to open his arms to his sister. "Geeze, Alex, I should have realized the storm would wake you up. You know there's nothing to be scared of, your inside and safe."

"I know," she replied softly, her tone showing just a bit of her exasperation. She had tried that line of thought for ages, telling herself over and over again that worrying about it was stupid, but she'd just never been able to get the mental note to stick. Finally pulling herself away from Maxxie a bit, she leaned into the open arms, trembling just a little less. "I'm just being stupid, I'm sorry.."

Ken smiled, and beside them, Maxxie moved to wrap her arms around the both of them. "Hey, thunders a perfectly normal thing to be scared of. Everyone's afraid of something, Alex."

"I wish my something wasn't so lame though," the brunette replied rather morosely. When Maxxie wrapped her arms around them both, Alex leaned against her slightly, closing her eyes once more. "Can we go to bed? Please?"

"All of us." Maxxie's words were directed at Kenneth, and he sighed, reaching to close the books he'd been working in. "I demand a pile up in Ken's bed. More warmth and protecting, should the stars have a gutter ball."
Ken smiled, nodding. "Alrigth. Come on."

"I agree," Alex piped in quickly, smiling over at her sister. Her smile only widened when Kenneth actually gave in, and closed up the accounting books. "Ken has a bigger bed anyway, ours are only singles, and he has enough room for all of us. Plus, warm and protecting, definitely. I predict a lot of gutter balls, I think they already had a few," she continued, shuddering some as lightning lit up the kitchen yet again.
When Ken directed them to move along, the brunette pulled back from her siblings, and shifted the blanket on her shoulders again, waiting expectantly to be led down the hall to her brother's room. She wasn't leading the way or walking down there by herself.

Maxxie lead the way, grabbing both Alex and Kenneth's hands and pulling them into the room, jumping on the bed. "I call the left!"

"I want the middle!" Alex added in quickly, jumping up onto the bed after her sister, and quickly settling down onto the mattress beside her. "I guess you get the right, Kenken."

Kenny grinned, getting under the covers and pulling them over them. "I suppose I can live with that. Hey! Whos got the cold feet?"

Alex giggled a bit, scooting closer to her brother, and letting her head rest onto the pillow. "I think that's Maxxie, let's just go this way, until she warms up. They're like ice!"

Maxxie pouted. "I'm not that cold guys! My feet just don't realize how awesom eit is to be warm yet."

"Well, c'mere," Alex said slowly, moving her feet over closer to Maxxie's. She winced a little as her own warm feet tangled in with Maxxie's, and she gave the blonde a little smile. "There, I'll warm them up with mine. Unless you turn mine into ice boxes, too."
She was barely even acknowledging the thunder and lightning anymore, too occupied with her sister and brother. Which was nice.

Maxxie grinned, snuggling closer to her siblings. "This is nice. And warm. I like warm."
Kenneth chuckled, wrapping his arms around his sisters. "Warm is always good." he nudged Alex lightly, making a tickle motion with his fingers over Maxxie's head.

"Warm is better than cold.. like your feet, they're killing me here," Alex replied, smirking some at the other girl. She saw Ken's motion over Maxxie's head, and only barely managed to keep from laughing, as she nodded quickly in agreement. Reaching her hands out, she grabbed at the blonde's waist, flexing her fingers. "Let's get 'er."
