Jude struggled to get up, failing several times before turning to look pitifuly at Hunter. "My up button won't work."

"You're not pressing it hard enough," Hunter replied matter-of-factly, before reaching over to grasp the wall behind them, using that as a make-shift way to stand. Once she had managed, quite shakily, she extended a hand down to Jude, grinning. "Upsy daisy, kiddo."

Jude giggled, taking the hand and pulling himself up. "Okay, okay. Okay. I'm all set here. Lets go!"

Jude grinned, putting his guitar back in it's case before holding out his arm to Hunter. "To donuts, miss?" he asked, shouldering the case, "Make sure you don't knock into Cecelia, man. She's delicate."

"Cecelia is the making of.. amazing things, she's great," Hunter replied absently, grinning over at him. "Wait, though. Where do we buy donuts? I don't want shitty donuts, man, I want the fancy kid.. with the powdered sugar, and chocolate, and sprinkles, and oh god, Sarah's mom makes these homemade donuts, and I like.. ohhhh, just thinking about them. Let's go see Sarah's mom!"

"I don't think she'd appreciate a visit from us while we're plastered." He made a face. "Why do people say that, plastered? How is being drunk plastered?"

"Oh, her mom loves me. She's so big, and black, and friendly. Just like Sarah. Except more friendly, and bigger," Hunter explained, grinning widely. "And I dunno why they call it that, man, I just say shit-faced. But that doesn't make sense either, does it?"

"No, it doesn't. And she loves me too! She makes me cookies and I eat them, even if I end up vomming them later."

"Then if she loves us, I think we should go ask for donuts, duh!"

Jude thought a moment. "While that makes sense, something says no, it doesn't...."

Hunter pouted. "Can we at least go see Sarah?"

"Yeah, we can go do that. To Sarah's!"

"I betcha she misses me," Hunter replied, matter-of-factly, grinning like a fool as she began to lead Jude [quite shakily] down the street they were currently on. It was going to be a long walk back toward the Brighton house.

Jude chuckled. "And all your loud yelling and twirling on that stool in the kitchen?"

"Man, I am like.. the king of stool twirling. No one can twirl that thing like me," Hunter replied seriously, turning back to look at Jude with a small pout. "Admit it."
