Jude made a face; 'something we can dance to' was not a request. Tossing a look over his shoulder at the band, he shrugged, and Samson leapt to the rescue, waving a drum stick in the air.
"How about Rocks?" he asked, refering to one of the songs Jude had written for their set list.
Jude shrugged It wasn't overly bouncy, but it was a good song to dance to and not lose an eardrum to. They could play something bouncier after; Rocks seemed like a good start. "Rocks it is!" he stated, as the band started to play the opening.

Rath winced some at the stepping of his toes, though he kept grinning broadly, as he led Leigh over to one of the clearer areas of the living room. It seemed other people had heard their plans, and there were a few other people dancing as well, even though the song was just beginning. "Ready?"
Watching them wander off, Sera looked longing for one fleeting moment, before upturning her wine bottle again, and heading over to flop onto the couch with Tatum. She sat down between her sister, and the passed out kid. "Uh, what?" she managed, motioning to him.
Tatum shrugged. "Dunno. But give me that wine? Please?"

"I was born ready," Leigh teased, grabbing Rath's hands, and immediately falling into the beat as naturally as she ever did, swiveling her hips and drawing Rath into the dance with her whether or not he wanted to come (although it seemed that he had resigned himself to his fate, and didn't resist. Leigh was amused).

Though he didn't have the same rhythm as Leigh, or scarcely any rhythm at all, Rath attempted to keep up with her, holding onto her hands and allowing her to drag him through the motions. If anyone knew what she was doing, it was Leigh, and he felt confident in her capable hands. As long as Sera didn't get too jealous, and end up stealing his Playstation later.

The band continued playing, switching from Rocks to a cover of weezer's Teenage Dirtbag. It was an older song, but everyone in the room seemed to know it, deeming it a good choice in the bands opinion.

Leigh barely noticed the shifting of the song, she merely kept dancing, kept moving, and thus, kept Rath dancing with her. She could, and had in the past, danced for hours on end, and would do so whenever given the chance. And she would keep the same partner for hours if they could keep up. Rarely had she found a capable partner, but that didn't bother her. She'd just as happily go through three or four partners in a single evening. Just so long as she had the ability to move and the music to keep her going.

As the music changed, Sera kept drinking, relaxing onto the sofa and continuing to knock back the bottle of wine. By the time that 'Teenage Dirtbag' was ending, she had worked her way to almost the bottom of the bottle, and had even accepted a can of beer from Tatum. It tasted terrible, but she didn't complain. It all came out the same, didn't it?
Her eyes were vaguely watching her brother and her girlfriend, but mostly she just focused on sipping back a free drink. It was rare to find that, among their friends. It was usually a BYOB party, but Hunter had done some sweet talking this time, and got them quite a bit of liquor on the house. That, or maybe it was all just the liquor stash of Sarah and Samson's parents. Either way, it was delightful.
Still without rhythm, but completely with enthusiasm, Rath was managing to keep up decently. He also felt less self conscious, since more people had joined them on the floor. Even if both of his sisters were just drinking and staring longingly at their respective partners, rather than joining him out there. He thought, for a moment, that Hunter was going to dance with them, but she had veered off toward the kitchen, mumbling something about being in trouble and needing more vodka.
Leaning in slightly, to be heard of the music, he placed a hand onto Leigh's arm. "Mind if I go get a drink? I'll be right back."

Leigh, jolted from her movement, took a moment to process the statement. "I'm gonna go lay a wet one on your sister," she grinned, teasing. "If you're still up to it, come get me there and we'll boogie, and if you could, grab me a water?" And as she said, she immediately flounced over to Sera, leaned over the girl, and kissed her smack on the mouth, ignoring the repulsive taste of beer (and also ignoring the fact that she was also wearing a relatively loose top and she was inviting Sera to look directly down her shirt -- it wasn't as though she particularly cared), and lingering there until the somehow indefinable Sera-taste came back. She pulled back only enough to be able to speak. "Hey, boss lady. Anymore attempted assassinations, miss?" She glanced towards a very drunk-seeming Tatum. "Are we all retaining our speech faculties this far into the evening?"

"Will do," Rath agreed, even managing to keep from making a face as she teased him about her endeavors with Sera. He moved through the crowd with just a bit of difficulty, moving into the kitchen, and finding that it was a bit empty, other than Hunter and a few high school girls. Who were gathered around Hunter, who was sitting on the counter top and making a rather big show out of crying. Quite drunk crying, blubbering and all.
Sighing heavily, he thought he ought to help out, make an input. But he wasn't sure where to begin. Usually, it was Tatum to calmed Hunter down when she started drunk crying. What the hell was he going to do?
Seraphim leaned up into the kiss, smiling against it, and holding it until Leigh broke it of and pulled away from her just slightly. She'd be lying if she said her eyes hadn't, for a moment, wandered down lower onto the blonde's body, before snapping back up to her face when she realized Leigh was speaking. "Who, me? Yes, I'm fine. You know that I'm no cheap drunk, gorgeous, I'm only.. relaxing. And really, the beer wasn't my idea. I only drink the finest of French wines," she explained, putting on an over exaggerated accent and smile on the last statement.
Without waiting for a reply, she reaching over and looped her arms around her girlfriend's waist, pulling Leigh down onto the couch with them, half into her own seat, and half across Sera's lap. "Enjoying dancing with my brother, then, you harlot?"
Tatum had been, quite longingly, staring off toward the make-shift stage Random Comment had made, and mostly at Ophelia. She snapped out of it a bit though, when Leigh joined them, and she turned around finally, grinning at the blonde girl and lifting her free hand in a little bit of a wave. "Hi Leigh!"

Leigh slipped comfortably into her half-Sera seat and kissed the brunette's neck. "Yes," she replied firmly. "The harlot is having lots of fun, but she would have more fun if you would dance with her." She giggled when Tatum finally seemed to recognize the fact that she'd arrived. "Heya Tate. You should dance, too. So Ophelia can ogle you back. It's more fun that way. We can dance! And then Ophelia and Seraphim can be all jealous, and then she'll finally come dance with me." She gently poked Sera in the side, and peered up to see whether or not Rath had returned from the kitchen yet.
"Unless, of course, your brother decided to distract me so that he could escape to go play Dead Space. Which, if he did, I'm going to kill him. Lots. But even then, we can dance a while first. Have I mentioned how nice it is to hear Random Comment without having to make coffee all the while? If I haven't, it's very nice. So nice, in fact, that we're going to have to do this more often."

Jude kept an eye on Adrian as he sang, grinning as the tune slowed down. "Here's a slow one for you all. And then we're going to take a break; we came to party, too, you know!" He grinned, and the next song started.

"He has Dead Space? He said it wasn't out yet," Tatum replied idly, still seeming a bit spaced out from their whole conversation, but cheery none the less. Her eyes seemed focused on the band still, as the song turned slow, and Jude explained about the upcoming break. Lifting her hands into the air, the red-head clapped happily at the prospect, waving in Ophelia's direction.
"I reckon he has probably crawled out of a bathroom window or something, and he's driving home as we speak. But in the mean time, I'm not letting you conquer the rest of my family. She dances no better than he does, frankly, and I think you deserve better," Sera replied softly, squirming a bit as the prod in her side that she received from her girlfriend. She bared her teeth, just momentarily. "I can dance to this, I can dance slow. I can do a proper waltz, I'll teach you a thing or two. Want to try something other than grinding your hips all over your dance partner?"

"Yes," the blonde said, looking to Tatum. "It's just out, actually. You should go find Rath before the break, so you can then hang all off your girlfriend. Which I get to go do now! Yay for me!"
Leigh then, ignoring the teasing hip-grinding barb (however much she wouldn't particularly mind grinding against Sera), was delighted. "Hey, I took proper dance classes, too, ma'am. Don't make me pull out the pointe shoes and prove it, either. But waltzes I don't know, and if you're dancing, I'm ecstatic to learn anything you can teach me." She finally stood and grabbed Sera's hands and pulled her to her feet.

"... Oh," Tatum replied simply, eyes moving back over to Ophelia again, before moving back to Leigh and Seraphim, who were now abandoning her on the couch. Yes, maybe finding Rath would be a good idea. Picking up her beer, she stood on somewhat steady legs, and headed out into the kitchen, weaving her way around a series of fellow party goers as she headed that way.
Seeing Rath standing next to Hunter, who was still sitting on the counter and making quite a scene, she frowned. "What's wrong with her?"
"I know you did. I was there with you, remember? You were just.. a lot better than I was. And I used to get frustrated, and beg mom not to make me go, and she did anyway. That's why I dropped out a long time before you, too," Seraphim mused, allowing Leigh to pull her up to her feet, before leading them out onto the dance floor. It was slowly filling up with couples, some of which were far too drunk to be attempting a slow dance.
She offered her hands out again, settling them around Leigh's waist, and leaning in a bit. "Around my neck, proper stance, then."

"Oui, madame," Leigh replied smartly, but promptly complied. "I remember you in the ballet and the jazz...I think I forgot if you were in pointe with me. God, that hurt so much. That's why I stopped anyway. I might have been good, but I couldn't run track or play soccer while I was still dancing en pointe. It messed up my feet too bad. But at least I remembered to keep my toenails short. Unlike Jeannie Parks...remember her? I mean, yeah, everybody's feet bled, but she forgot to trim and her toenail was embedded into her own foot? That was gross."
