"Jeez, Sera, it wasn't that I think you're frigid. Damnit, people who think that about you are stupid and blind and I want to throw rocks at them," Leigh was speaking quickly, a terse note to her voice. It seemed as though her brain could only process one thing at a time, and it seemed utmost that Sera never, ever think that Leigh would think so badly of her. And then she froze, and the entire world when time seemed to catch up with her reeling mind. "Wait, what did you just say? What did you just do?"

Sera was quite pleased at the rambling she got out of the other girl, the assurance that she wasn't considered cold hearted by everyone in the world. Maybe everyone else, mostly, but not by Leigh. Some of the kids in their class had called her Princess No Heart for years, but never Leigh. Who knew her best of all, and mattered most. It was a nice thought, and she appreciated it. Smirking in her usual self satisfied manner when Leigh's brain finally caught up with their situation, Seraphim closed her eyes for a moment.
"I said that I like you too, dumbass. And pretty sure I just kissed you. Sort of. Well, I mean, if we weren't stuck in the classroom, stuffed into the aisle between desks, I'm sure I could have come up with something more romantic, more full on, but I'm trying here, aren't I?"

"Oh," Leigh replied, processing it, the cold knot in her stomach finally really uncoiling. And she grinned, stepping a little closer to Sera, and wrapped her arms around Sera's waist, weaving her fingers together behind the small of the brunette's back. She dipped her head slowly, making sure that Sera was with her every step of the way, and despite being cramped between two aisles of desks in the teeny classroom in one of the most unromantic places imaginable, immediately decided that this had to be the best moment of her life. She hovered there, her lips just bare millimeters away from Sera's, and smiled again, softly, and after what had felt like an eternity, finally closed the distance.

Seraphim surprised herself with her own relaxation at their actions. It normally would have set her on edge; just the thought of romance usually made her feel awkward, even when she was just reading about it, or watching it on a movie. Hell, watching Tatum and Ophelia, who really showed no shame in their actions, no matter the audience, had put her off of the idea from a pretty early age. She'd never gone on dates or anything, and Leigh knew that, although she had been asked by a few people over the years.
She was too busy, too otherwise occupied. Or had she been holding out unconsciously, waiting? She'd never really considered the advantages to romance, never saw herself in the position to need to care. She hadn't considered the fact that it could feel so right and natural, as this did. Maybe this was why Tatum and Ophelia weren't hesitant. She wasn't even shaking, though there was still that nervous feeling still deep inside of her, making her smirk just a bit less self assured.
She leaned slightly into the embrace that the blonde had around her, opening her eyes as Leigh was leaning in and dipping her head down, keeping their lips just barely apart. She longed to say something, but found there was nothing to say, as they met in another kiss; this one firmer, and held much longer.
It had crossed her mind that lunch had to be nearly over, and the bell would ring soon, but she didn't care at this point.

Leigh had never kissed anyone before, not really. She had brief, flashing crushes before, and been asked out a handful of times as well, her generally kind disposition and quiet tact had always kept her reasonably popular, even when people kept misunderstanding her best friend and calling her things like "Princess No Heart". She had heard them, of course, but no one dared say such a thing in front of Leigh more than once. The blonde had never pursued a relationship, though. She was too dedicated to Seraphim, even when she was pretending that she wasn't, unwilling to risk their friendship. And even after pulling herself from her wildest dreams, she had always thought she would be scared in real life. Scared about doing something wrong, saying something wrong. But here, finally now in the situation, Sera in her embrace, and clearly comfortable enough there, it seemed so easy, so natural. She allowed her feelings to lead her, lips on lips, and her hands around Sera, fingertips trailing over the small of her back, up the curve of her spine. Pulling back from the kiss, she smiled a little, hoping desperately that Sera was exercising her amazing mind-reading abilities, because there just weren't words for everything she was feeling.

Leigh's fingertips moving over her back, over her spine, was a bit ticklish, and the brunette found herself shivering a little against it, keeping up the kiss just the same. Once they had parted again, Sera smiled back at the other girl, keeping close, their lips still just the barest minimum apart as they looked at each other. There didn't seem to be words, from either of them; some things were just better left unsaid, maybe. Actions spoke louder in cases like these.
Lifting her arms, she allowed them to drape lightly over the blonde's shoulders, hands clasping behind her neck, and pulling her in for another kiss, Sera's lips parting into this one, and with more vigor behind it, more confidence.

Leigh's mouth seemed to do what she couldn't think of, smoothly molding evenly to Sera's, lips slipping open just the slightest, allowing the kiss to deepen. The kiss was forcing a chill of pleasure to race up her spine -- the whole thing was unreal, and far, far better than even her greatest imaginings. Her hand slid from Sera's back to her sides, settling at her hips, and she reacted instinctively, pulling Sera closer still -- if that was somehow possible, she doubted there was room to slide a piece of paper between them (although she was sure if someone tried, she'd deck them).

There was definitely no room to spare between them, and Sera didn't see any reason to complain about the arrangements, shifting her body as Leigh pulled her closer, more comfortably, in their cramped space. She found herself leaning herself back onto her desk a little, pulling Leigh to lean with her, keeping her arms around the blonde, keeping up the kiss, tongue timidly brushing over the other girl's lower lip, and trying to ignore the way that she was beginning to shake a little now, slightly overwhelmed with sensations and realizations.
Anyone could walk in, and amazing as this all was, that probably wouldn't bode so well in their immediate favor. So why couldn't she stop? And why wasn't Leigh stopping them? Really, repressed needs were a bitch.

Leigh leaned over Sera, kissing back more firmly -- her confidence growing in spades as the other girl reacted, but alarms were starting to go off in the back of her head -- they had to stop this before someone walked in. Lunch would be over in minutes, and she knew that she would be starving by the next class, although Sera would probably be fine. But it was years of unrequited feelings crashing at her, and she wanted, and as she realized that Sera was practically laying on the desk behind her, and Leigh with her, the blonde finally broke the kiss, and then softly kissed Sera again; then she pulled away, and gently pulled Sera up with her. She finally took one of her hands from around Sera and ran her thumb over the brunette's bottom lip. "Lunch is almost over," she said softly, regrettably. "We...we should probably not be doing this when the all come back." And then, after glancing at Sera's lips for a brief moment, in direct conflict with her own words, Leigh leaned forward and kissed Sera again.

Rather displeased with the disruption, even if she realized and recognized Leigh's valid concern, Seraphim let out a little groan of disappointment as she was pulled up from her desk. She leaned forward against the other girl, letting out a little sigh, and managing a bit of a smile as one of Leigh's hands lifted closer to her face, and her thumb brushed over her lip. "Yeah," she replied, quite simply, though there was no enthusiasm behind the agreement. "What do you have next period anyway?" she asked, quieting as her best friend seized her lips in another kiss, leaning them back a bit once more, and Sera's arms tightening their grip, not wanting to let go just yet, even if they might get in trouble, or made fun of, whatever came.
It was a sign that she was feeling absent, that she couldn't even remember where Leigh was supposed to be in the next class. Really, she couldn't remember where she was supposed to be. She'd known both of their schedules off by heart from the moment they received them, but her mind felt foggy all over again, and she couldn't quite wrap her mind around class right then. It was beloved, one of her favorite things in the entire world, but it was pale in comparison to Leigh, and frankly, to Leigh's lips, to her body, and just this entire moment.

"I think I have skiv off of school and talk to the girl that had better be my girlfriend, please," Leigh responded quietly after a moment of thought, taking Sera's hands and entwining their fingers. "Luckily for me, I'm pretty sure we have the same class." Leigh offered up a sweet smile, and pulled her hands behind her back, drawing closer to Sera. "I can catch notes whenever, and you're a bleeding genius, so...please?" She repeated the plead, and ducked her head, bound and determined to kiss the corner of Sera's lips for a reason that she couldn't comprehend, but knew she had to obey.

"Funny, I don't think I signed up for that class. But I think it's on my schedule as well," Seraphim replied softly, against the light kisses that Leigh was placing upon the corner of her lips. At least some of her quick wit was coming back, that was a good sign. Her usual policy for skipping class was.. well, non-existent. Even if her head was on fire, she would probably have shown up for her lesson, ready to learn, and raising her hand at every question. But how was she supposed to say 'no' to Leigh? She'd never been able, even when they were just friends, and now.. well, now was different. Not to mention that sweet little smile, and the feeling of their hands held together, held behind Leigh's back, fingers entwined, Sera's cold and Leigh's warm.
"I dunno where you think we're going to go, though. We can't go to my house, my dad will flip.."
It was hard to concentrate on complaining, even if it was her second nature, with Leigh coming so close to full on kissing her again. Seraphim decided momentarily to cut the modesty, leaning in for another firm kiss, lips parted and eyes closed, before breaking it off and lightly brushing her nose against Leigh's. "Just take me before I change my mind."

"Yes, ma'am," Leigh answered with a little click of her heels in lieu of a salute, as the brunette's hands were still in hers; she was surprised that Sera had agreed. Sure, she had hoped...but Seraphim Madeline Donnelly-Rousseau willingly skipping class? Absolutely unheard of, and she suddenly felt warm and wonderful. For her, she realized. "We can go to my house to talk if you want, Mom's got the kids out today -- she won't be back 'till late, and Dad's at a business meeting, he'll be back tomorrow night," Leigh offered. "You should probably grab your stuff before your class thinks I've kidnapped you, though."

"Sounds like a plan to me," Seraphim agreed, smiling quite contently, as she gave Leigh's hands a little squeeze, before untangling their fingers, in order to beginning untangling them, so that she could pack up her belongings. The bell definitely had to be seconds away now, and so hurrying would be a wise choice, before she had to explain to her teacher just why she was leaving just as the class was starting.
"You should probably send a text to Tatum, too, I'm sure she's just walking on egg shells in anticipation.. I can't believe you told my lame sister you liked me, before you told me," the brunette mused quietly, as she was closing up her math book, stuffing it into her school bag, followed closely by her pen and the papers she had taken out as well. She folded her glasses, putting them into their case, before dropping that into her bag as well. She turned back to face Leigh, just as the bell rang. "We should run."

"Hey," Leigh answered a touch teasingly as they walked down the hallway as teenagers spilled into the hallways. Leigh reached out and took Sera's hand, pulled her a bit closer so they could talk more easily, and then released her. No point in drawing attention to them quite yet and she doubted anyone would even take note of such a minor occurance, "your lame sister is the only reason I worked up the guts to talk to you. And I'll text her when we get to my place, or whenever. I just need to stop off at my locker and pick up my notebook and keys. Then we'll hop the bus home."
